Biography
A car journey, with a Deva Premal and Miten CD playing, started a thought and a connection to some wonderful footage I had filmed some years ago on a trip through Tibet, from Lhasa, through the rugged landscapes of Jiang Zi, Shigatse, Tingri, Zhangmu, past the Himalayas to Katmandu, Nepal and into India. The struggles of the Tibetan people had always touched me deeply. Could I do something here which would raise awareness and in some way bring ease to the situation? Back in London I put an initial video edit together, weaving the unique footage I had, with the powerful Guru Rinpoche Mantra chant by Deva Premal and Miten. My monthly Sacred Sound group gathered for a preview of the music video... We watched and chanted as a group and something magical happened... All of our hearts opened and our energy and love was flowing back to Tibet through the connection of the visual and our voices... To it’s people, it’s Wisdom Keepers and ancient ways which all of us have been touched and blessed by in some way in our lives... Christian Kyriacou.
